As November arrives, I reflect on the incredible community we have in St. Johns County. I want to express my deep gratitude and thankfulness for your unwavering support and dedication to our schools.
This month, we celebrate the CHARACTER COUNTS! Pillar of Citizenship. Citizenship reminds us that we are responsible for our actions and contributing to the greater good of our community. Our students continue to exemplify this pillar daily, making us incredibly proud.
I would also like to share our appreciation for the recent CC! Community Business Partners Recognition event, where we celebrated our school and district business partners. Your support goes beyond the classroom, and we are immensely grateful for the relationships that help our schools and students thrive.
In addition, we had the privilege of recognizing eighth-grade students of exceptional character. These students are a testament to the values we hold dear in our community, and we are inspired by their dedication to making our district and our community a better place.
As we approach Thanksgiving, let’s remember the importance of giving back to those less fortunate. In this season of gratitude, let’s also find time to volunteer and contribute to the well-being of our neighbors.
One of our current needs is support for weekend food bags and snack programs. Partnering with a school to fill this need where individuals or organizations can purchase, pack and deliver needed food items to the school is greatly appreciated.
I am thankful for the unity and strength of our community. May you all have a warm and joyful Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter and cherished moments with family and friends.
With heartfelt gratitude,

Tim Forson
Superintendent of Schools
