Happy July!

This issue has always been one of my favorites. Health and Wellness is something I am passionate about. I look at food as nutrition and know that moving my body – walking, weights and yoga – makes a huge difference in the way that I feel. I am an avid reader of the latest guidance on how I can get and stay healthy.

I also recognize that as parents, sometimes our schedules and the hectic day-to-day routines, coupled with the fact that we are taking care of our children, and sometimes our parents, can keep us from making ourselves a priority. Remember that to take care of your family, you must care for yourself first.

This issue focuses on the health of your children. We have information on mental health, dating violence, physical requirements, broken bones, healthy eating and diverse foods and puberty. Our Book Nook contains great reading about kindness and compassion.
