As a former elementary school principal, I still get excited when I think of going back to school. Meeting your child’s teachers, buying school supplies, and the blank slate of a year full of possibilities can be fun and exciting. We hope you are looking forward to a great year!
We have some great information this month. Bullying seems to be on the forefront of people’s minds, and we have articles on how to tell if your child is being bullied and how to protect them. We also have several articles on how to reduce stress at the start of the school year, tips for success and ways to boost your child’s reading skills. We also have a few articles on safety, both at home and online.
This issue also marks the start of our 4th year of publishing Flagler, St. Johns and Volusia Parent. We have learned so much, and appreciate our editorial committee members that guide us. We have also enjoyed getting to know you, our readers. We would love to know more, and are looking at some in person events where we can get to know you even better. Let us know what you would like to see and how we can better meet your needs. You may find a thank you gift coming your way for your suggestion.
As part of our growth, we are looking for a few bloggers to round out our editorial team. If interested, please contact our managing editor at jeanne@touchpointis.com.
Thank you for joining us. Wishing you a successful and exciting school year.
