Welcome to our Dad’s Issue and our summer planning guide!

June brings us so many things to celebrate, including of course – the dads in our lives.  Whether your father is biological or a man who helped raise you, that person teaches us so much.  We are happy to share articles about the skills and knowledge brought to us by those men in our lives.

June also brings us graduations! We are happy to have 2021 Graduation Gallery on our website again. This provides a place for you to give a shout out to your graduate and share their picture and accomplishments with friends and family. Check it out at www.parentmagazinesflorida.com/graduationgallery.

As we approach summer, we are hearing many parents concerned about the “covid slide” going into the “summer slide.” We are happy to share tips and tools to keep learning front and center, without going to structured classes. Read to or with your kids, engage in activities that excite them about geography or science, and showing them how math is used in daily tasks, and your child will be ready for next year.

Summer includes swimming, sunshine, travel and family reunions. These reunions will be even sweeter this year. Check out our article on Intergenerational Activities for some fun ideas.

Hurricane season is upon us, and we share information on how to include your children in preparation just in case something heads our way.

Check out our new Toy Corner, and head to our website to win the toys featured!

Wishing you a happy, healthy June!
