As I write this, it is clear that all of our lives have changed considerably in the past few weeks. Even actions that we have done our whole lives now have us second guessing how and when we do them. It reminds me of … Motherhood! When I was expecting my daughter, I remember how the experienced moms would tell me that I could not imagine how my life would change. They were so right. From the first glance at that beautiful face, my heart swelled and I knew that there was nothing I wouldn’t do to keep her safe and make her happy. In this Mom’s issue, we talk about love languages that can assist Moms (and Dads) in showing that love.
The days that followed becoming a mom brought so much joy, and yes… exhaustion. It doesn’t matter how you became a parent, or whether you work outside the home or not, raising little humans is tiring and you are constantly engaged in the practice. We have included some articles in this issue that will give you some self-care and hopefully make your life easier.
We have suspended our Things to Do section because at the time we put this issue together, we were being encouraged to observe social distancing. We will update our website as soon as events come back online and businesses open again. Please let us know if you have an event that is happening or a business that is opening after a shutdown. We have added online resources for education, virtual tours, and other things to do on our website and will continually add fresh content for you. Let us know through an email or facebook post what you would like to see more of.
We wish you all good health and happiness!
Happy Mother’s Day!
